📖 How to Play
Setup
- Each player brings one book of any kind (novel, cookbook, textbook — all work!)
- Shuffle all prompt cards and place them face-down in the center of the table
- Set the 60-second sand timer within reach of all players
Game Rounds
- Draw the prompt – The judge draws a card, picks one of the two prompts, and reads it out loud to the group.
- Scramble & search – All other players flip through their books as fast as possible to find a line of text that fits the prompt. It can be a single word, a phrase, a full sentence or even a whole paragraph.
- Start the timer – The first player to find a match yells “I’ve got it!” and flips the 60-second timer. Everyone else must find their answer before the sand runs out.
- Read your answers – When time is up (or everyone has found their line), players take turns reading their chosen text out loud. Players who didn’t find a match must read a random line from a random page as a penalty.
- Judge picks the winner – The judge votes for the funniest, most absurd or most perfect answer. The winner keeps the card as one point.
- Pass the judge role clockwise and start a new round!
Win Condition
- 3–5 players: First player to collect 5 cards wins
- 6–8 players: First player to collect 4 cards wins
